DESCRIPTION
This is a handmade FESTAC Mask crafted in Benin Nigeria. Made of Ebony Wood and inspired by the first Iyoba & Queen Mother, Idia; The mother of the Oba of Benin who ruled from 1504 – 1550. She was known to be a relentless warrior who played a significant role in the rise and reign of her son as king of the Edo Empire.
Unique in texture with distinctly carved finish details such as tribal marks. This is a great addition for walls in any room and suitable as gift for your art/cultural enthusiast friends and family for any occasion.
